Why protection matters
Three ways Caliyo protects your calendar.
Your rules, not your guest's
Your booking link only surfaces times that match your preferences. Guests can't pick the slot that wrecks your morning because they never see it.
Double-booking alerts
If someone books over an existing meeting, you'll know the moment it happens, not when you're staring at two calendar invites for 2pm.
AI that finds the right time
Instead of dumping every open slot on a guest, Caliyo's AI talks through the request or connects into the guests calendar and finds a time that suits both parties.
What you control
Four simple settings to get the
engine started!
01 · Protection presets
A starting point, not a cage.
Strong, Medium, or Low — each preset is a pre-tuned combination of the three core rules below. Pick the one that matches your week, then refine if you want.
- Strong — Maximum focus. Best for launch weeks and partners shipping a deadline.
- Medium — Balanced — the default we recommend. Best for most weeks, most people.
- Low — Minimal friction. Best for sales-heavy weeks where speed beats focus.

02 · Working hours
The window the world is allowed to land in.
Active days plus per-day hours. Everything outside these windows gets a polite auto-decline and a proposal inside them — no thinking required.
- Active days — Toggle the days bookings can land. Saturdays off by default.
- Per-day hours — Override the defaults — Wednesdays half-day, Friday early stop, all set once.
- Lunch hold — One-tap protection for the middle of the day. The first thing that goes when the week gets busy.

03 · Schedule preferences
When the edges of your day are open.
The hours before and after your official working window where Caliyo will occasionally accept a meeting. Useful when you work with clients in other time zones.
- Morning · 5am–7pm — For US partners with European clients. Early starts allowed.
- Standard · 7am–9pm — The default outside window for any booking. Reasonable for most people.
- Night · 9am–11pm — Night owls and Asia/Pacific overlap. Daily meeting cap still enforced inside the window.

04 · Scheduling limits
The hard rules that catch what slips through.
Your timezone and a daily meeting cap. The cap is the most underused setting we ship — once Caliyo hits it, the rest of the day becomes protected automatically.
- Scheduling timezone — Used when proposing slots. Caliyo translates per attendee on send.
- Maximum meetings per day — Hit the cap and Caliyo answers new asks with "next available." Five is the median.
