Calendar protection

The calendar that proactively defends your time

Stop letting your calendar get steamrolled. Caliyo hides the slots you'd rather protect, flags double-bookings the moment they happen, and lets an AI find a time that actually works for both sides! No back-and-forth required.

Why protection matters

Three ways Caliyo protects your calendar.

Your rules, not your guest's
Your booking link only surfaces times that match your preferences. Guests can't pick the slot that wrecks your morning because they never see it.
Double-booking alerts
If someone books over an existing meeting, you'll know the moment it happens, not when you're staring at two calendar invites for 2pm.
AI that finds the right time
Instead of dumping every open slot on a guest, Caliyo's AI talks through the request or connects into the guests calendar and finds a time that suits both parties.
What you control

Four simple settings to get the
engine started!

01 · Protection presets

A starting point, not a cage.

Strong, Medium, or Low — each preset is a pre-tuned combination of the three core rules below. Pick the one that matches your week, then refine if you want.

  • StrongMaximum focus. Best for launch weeks and partners shipping a deadline.
  • MediumBalanced — the default we recommend. Best for most weeks, most people.
  • LowMinimal friction. Best for sales-heavy weeks where speed beats focus.

Low

02 · Working hours

The window the world is allowed to land in.

Active days plus per-day hours. Everything outside these windows gets a polite auto-decline and a proposal inside them — no thinking required.

  • Active daysToggle the days bookings can land. Saturdays off by default.
  • Per-day hoursOverride the defaults — Wednesdays half-day, Friday early stop, all set once.
  • Lunch holdOne-tap protection for the middle of the day. The first thing that goes when the week gets busy.

03 · Schedule preferences

When the edges of your day are open.

The hours before and after your official working window where Caliyo will occasionally accept a meeting. Useful when you work with clients in other time zones.

  • Morning · 5am–7pmFor US partners with European clients. Early starts allowed.
  • Standard · 7am–9pmThe default outside window for any booking. Reasonable for most people.
  • Night · 9am–11pmNight owls and Asia/Pacific overlap. Daily meeting cap still enforced inside the window.

04 · Scheduling limits

The hard rules that catch what slips through.

Your timezone and a daily meeting cap. The cap is the most underused setting we ship — once Caliyo hits it, the rest of the day becomes protected automatically.

  • Scheduling timezoneUsed when proposing slots. Caliyo translates per attendee on send.
  • Maximum meetings per dayHit the cap and Caliyo answers new asks with "next available." Five is the median.

What changes

The week that just shows up protected.

Strong Protection on, Mon–Fri 9–5, max 5 meetings, two-day buffer, known contacts only. Caliyo applies the rules on Sunday at midnight and you wake up on Monday with a calendar that already said no to three things you would have said yes to and regretted.

FAQ

Protection, answered plainly.

Anytime. Most customers start out with low protections to test things out and turn it up as they feel more comfortable with the settings. As your patterns arise Caliyo also starts to understand your needs better and can help make decisions that align with your observed preferences

Anyone you’ve had a calendar event with, anyone in your contacts, anyone who shares a connected calendar with you. You can also approve specific email domains in one click.

By default the buffer is not set. Set buffers for your calendar as a whole or specific calendars. In the near future you will be able to group contacts and have settings specific to those groups.

Caliyo will offer times and dates that do not include that day.
